Walnuts are extremely healthy for your heart and studies have shown that they are even good for your arteries when eating an otherwise high fat meal.
Shelled walnuts should be kept in a sealed container and have the longest life when stored in the refrigerator, where they will stay good for up to six months. They can also be stored in the freezer for up to a year. Walnuts that are still in their shell will stay good for a few months when kept in a cool, dry place.
Walnuts have been the choice nut of many people for generations. They are ideal for baking and cooking, and are a perfect wholesome and healthy food to snack on, day or night.
